Requirements

There are a number of paramedical colleges in India that offer courses in the field of paramedical science. The course duration varies from six months to three years, depending on the type of course. There are ­certificate courses, diploma ­courses, bachelor courses, masters programmes and even PhD ­programmes available in certain streams. Talking about the eligibility, one has to pass Class 12 level with science stream from a recognised board/university

Job Prospects

Payoff depends on the type of ­paramedic. A radiology technician can start from Rs. 10,000 per month and reach up to Rs. 50,000 per month. A healthcare assistant can get Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. Starting salary of dialysis ­technicians can range from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month. A lab ­technician’s salary may vary from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month depending on his/her ­expertise and seniority
